Decision: Powerful To Exploit

There are various ways people have defined decision but i will define Decision as the act of deciding or concluding on a particular choice. It's a choice that you make after thinking about something: the result of deciding on a particular choice or the ability to make choices Decision making can be regarded as a cognitive process resulting in the selection of a particular action among several alternative scenarios. Every decision making process produces a final choice. The output can be an action or an opinion of choice. Decision making is an active part of our life, basically our lives are product of our decisions . We make decisions everyday of our lives starting from eating, reading, what we put on, marriage, house we live/built, et al. The decisions you make can either affect your life positively or negatively. While Positive decisions leads to breakthrough and amazing success, negative choice leads to failure. If you are living a happy and joyful life presently now, it's as a result of the decisions you have made consciously and unconsciously, same as if you are living a disappointing and sad life presently it's as a result of the decisions you made which leads to your present life. I remember sometime ago when i was teaching in a secondary school, i have one amazing female student of 13-year-old, she was simply brilliant. One i asked her what she would like to become, she said an engineer i said that's great. Two years later i saw her when i came back from school and she was already pregnant, i couldn't hold it so i called her and ask her what have happened that lead to pregnancy and she told me all the story of how she meet the guy and things lead to that. So i ask her about her dream to become and engineer just to motivate her that the pregnancy should not stop her, but she said her parents already ask her to leave their home and go live with the person that impregnated her and the most frightening part of the story was that she's so depressed and totally sad about her condition that she told me she fill like killing herself because the guy could not even feed her, she lives everyday with hunger and uncared about, I consoled her, told her things will change soon. So what do we learn from this, her life turn worse and sore just because of a single decision she made to date the guy that impregnated her. The life we live today is a very fragile one, and every single decision consciously and unconsciously you make count. Be mindful, think things through before making a choice. In every of your life endeavours Make a clear, unequivocal decision to be the best, believe in your capability to make the right choice. Ignore most people’s advice. Follow your heart, because this is your life and your life is a product every choice. Don't let your past dictate who you are, no matter the wrong choices you have made, you can begin to make the right choices now by thinking things through before deciding on what to do, say or even think about. . One of my mentors John Wooden once said "The most important key to achieving great success is to decide upon your goal" decide upon your goal, get started, pursue it and you will succeed. You don't need to be great to start but you have to start to be great. Believe in yourself that you can change any situation, keep try even if it's proving difficult. Remember no matter the difficulties, it's only Continuous effort not strength or intelligence is the key to unlocking our potential. Do not forget you have the power to choose your thoughts and your attitude and, therefore, your success.
